Americans today are plagued with many problems. We are obese, we are ridden with cancers, and our children are being diagnosed with behavioral disorders. We are a depressed nation looking to our doctors for answers. They give us "magic" pills to fix our ailments. We try them, feel foggy and numb yet we still feel troubled so we turn back to them for more answers and they give us something and we find ourselves on an endless cycle. We are on a hamster wheel my friends! Our food supply is being destroyed today by synthetic chemicals approved by the FDA. Yes, it is approved so you think it is okay. Please know it is NOT okay. I will show you evidence that it is NOT okay for you or your children to have ingest these chemicals. We are so busy searching for cures that why are we not wondering what is causing it to begin with? The solution could be as easy as omitting these chemicals early on! These chemicals have been proven to cause hyperactivity, and disease yet the FDA continues to allow our industries to put more than 15 million pounds of synthetic chemicals into our foods each year! And guess what? You buy it and feed that colorful spoonful to your smiling toddler. Do you you think it's worth it?
There are so many things that I am stumbling upon in researching this. Unnecessary chemicals are being put into our food supply and Americans have absolutely no idea!. They completely trust that because the FDA has told them that it is safe, that it is in such a small minimal amount that the risk is not harmful. Then I ask you," Why are other countries changing their policies"?
I started on this research with looking at the dangers of food dyes but it has run into food preservatives, sugar substitutes, and I just stumbled over something being added to our meat being nick named as "pink slime"? Are we for real here? But I am going to do my best to stay with food dye , BUT IT IS REALLY DIFFICULT! Our FDA "assures our food is safe" yet they allow artificial dyes that are made from petroleum and coal tar. Surprised you're eating that? You're giving it to your baby too! Check out this picture I took of the list of ingredients on the box of Kellogg FRUIT LOOPS tonight. There is Red 40, ignore the natural flavoring- there's almost nothing natural about this box!....moving along, Blue 2, Yellow 6, and finally Blue 1? Each one has linked to allergies, asthma, ADHD, cancer, and has been banned in some countries because of it's dangerous effects. |

Red 40( Banned in parts of Europe) FDA Status is called FD&C Red #40 Red Allura AC The name of the dye is Red-17 As called in the industry E129 Most common used food dye used in the industry Allergies Asthma ADHD Migraines Contains cancer causing agents Carcenogen (p-Cresidine) and Aniline Reticuloendothelial tumors Tested on lab aninals and resulted in DNA Liver, Colon, Glandular,and Stomach damage( not known if it will transfer to humans) Tumors Yellow 6( Banned in parts of EU AND UK) FDA Status is called FD&C Yellow #6 Sunset Yellow( also called Orange Yellow 6) The name of the dye is called Yellow-3( Dye is up to be banned in the U.S.) As called in the industry E110 Allergies(food and aspirin) Asthma Adhd Hives Runny nose Nasal Congestion Bruising (sluggish liver) Kidney Tumors Chromosomal damage Abdominal Pain Vomiting Indigestion Distaste for food adrenal and testicular tumors ( linked to male sterility) Eosinophilotactic response (effects white blood cell that protect the immune system) Cancer causing agents in dye (Benzidine, 4-amino-biphenyl) Did you have any idea that giving a spoonful of brightly colored Fruit Loops Cereal had all of that in it??? Bet you didn't and I bet the FDA thinks you don't care either. So while I am taking my pictures and doing my research I go to grab some pickles for my son for his lunch. Seems pretty safe right? Wrong!! Blue 1 and Yellow 5! Even in pickles!! Q:What are "LAKE"dyes?

I told you about the effects of Blue 1, but let me tell you the risks linked to Yellow 5.
Yellow 5 FDA status is called FD&C Yellow-5 * Tartazine (made from Tar) Food Yellow -4 Acid Yellow 23 Known as E102 in the industry Leading dye causing allergies. Zinc Deficiency and depletes faster in patients with ADHD Asthma Headaches Stomach ailments Depression Damages nervous system Lowers sperm count I would have to agree - if it depletes your Zinc levels?! DUH! ( *Snopes denied this...Loved this website up until now- wonder who paid them off?) All synthetic dyes are allowed to contain: LEAD, MERCURY, ARSENIC AND BENZIDINE( CANCER CAUSING AGENTS) I find it astonishing that the FDA approves these products and the companies hire their own scientists to conduct their own tests on the product. They then draw their conclusions and tell the FDA it is a safe product for the public. There are other solutions to artificial dyes! 1. The manufacturers could easily put natural dyes into their products. 2. The FDA should demand companies sell products that are nutritionally safe and not allow cancer causing agents to be put into the food ingredients. It is appalling that these products are mainly targeted at innocent children.
As it stands, we as the consumer buys the product and pays the cost of it anyway! So it is more money to make the product but would you like to pay more for your product now or pay for your cancer treatments later? In Britain they have taken out artificial dyes and replaced them with natural dyes. It seems unlikely that we are the land of milk and honey and we can't afford or are not smart enough to do something as simple as this. I ask you, "Do you think our FDA is not clearly aware of this?" "Do you think they are dumb?" I personally believe they are fully aware. I know they don't care. They knowingly allow cancer causing agents in our food supply. I personally feel that they will not budge on this until enough awareness is brought to this and we tell them that these chemicals must be removed from our food supply now. Now lets talk about the manufacturers for a moment. Kraft Foods Inc. reported itself to be the second largest food company. It reported it's revenue in 2011 to be more than $50 billion. Do you think the company can't afford to keep you safe? While I am at it, if I have anyone from Kraft's attention, why is it that you are the second largest food company making $50 billion and you can't put natural dye in Macaroni and Cheese? Doesn't cheese make it yellow enough or maybe you don't really use real cheese at all? It is puzzling, isn't it? If other countries have clearly found scientific proof that this is in fact happening, why are we ignoring it when we have been told that we have the some of the most cutting edge medical technology? Yet, something as simple as keeping our food supply safe and healthy is in question. I am just at a loss here. It is so important that we as a people gather together and tell one another. We must bring awareness and let the FDA know that we want natural food dyes in our products. Chemicals have no place in our food supply.
